First Leg – HK to Philippines

Monday, April 24th, 2006
After a few delays we finally sailed out of Hong Kong on the morning of Saturday April 15th 2006 en route to the Philippines. Only 3 days later than planned, which, with our new non-timebound way of life, does not seem bad!
We had the family plus 2 additional crew on board for the first leg to Subic Bay in the Philippines – 565 miles.Patrick was entertainer in chief…

Sailing Trip to Philippines

This is my drawing of our first sight of land in the Philippines. It is an island with a lighthouse.We saw bancas. They are a boat with little floaters on the side of it. They fish in them. You have to watch out for their nets!
I was looking at a ship. I couldn’t see its name so I asked my Mummy if I could use the binoculars.

We are in Manila

We’re on Tui Tai. We love sailing. Now we are in Manila. I love Manila.
We already had a long sail. We are going to go sailing again tomorrow.
